Community Disability Support

In the continuous effort to meet our mission of providing a recreational resource for persons with disabilities, Camp CaPella facilities become available for other community agencies and organizations during weeks that our regular camp season is not in session. Agencies will bring their own staff and persons with disabilities whom they provide care and comfort for and provide a summer camp experience for their consumers.
Camp CaPella is rented out to organizations that provide educational and/or recreational services to persons with disabilities.

We have a beautiful facility that we want to reserve for the business of caring for the disabled. Such agencies may also use the facility for such things as training and professional development, staff “retreats,” or other uses.

Camp CaPella Camp Rental Policy
Adopted Nov. 12, 2009

It is the policy of Camp CaPella, Inc. to make available the use of the Camp CaPella facilities to organizations that are in concert with our overall mission and goals to provide services to children and adults with disabilities. Therefore, this is the policy of Camp CaPella, Inc.:

Only non-profit 501 (c)(3) organizations shall use the camp facility or organizations providing care to the disabled.

Only organizations providing services to children and/or adults with disabilities, or otherwise meeting Camp CaPella’s goals of education, learning, and recreation, to this population shall use the facilities.

Every organization using the facility will sign a rental agreement and any “hold harmless” agreements deemed necessary before the date of use.
Any fees for use will be paid prior to use or approved prior arrangements made.

Renting organizations will respect and care for the property in accordance with the rental agreement.

Organization administration will be expected to maintain a professional, civil, and cooperative manner toward Camp CaPella staff at all times.
Any specific request made for accommodations must be deemed to be reasonable for Camp CaPella to be able to provide. Every attempt will be made to provide renters of the facility with accommodations they may need that are within reason.

Renters will not represent themselves in any way or form as being a part of the Camp CaPella organization.

The renting organization will provide proof of liability insurance listing Camp CaPella as named to be insured.

Determination of eligibility for rental will be made by the executive director.  Any exception to any of these rental criteria may be reviewed by the Board of Directors.

Failure to meet any of the above criteria will be grounds for non-renewal of a rental agreement.
