3rd Annual ATV Ride for Camp CaPella Kids!

August 10th, 2012

Local ATV clubs will ride their all-terrain vehicles on the 3rd Annual ATV Ride for Camp CaPella Kids through their region and host a cookout on Saturday, August 25 to raise funds that will help send local children with physical and developmental disabilities to camp sessions atCampCaPella.

All ATV’ers and ATV clubs are invited to meet at the Airline Lodge and Snackbar in Beddington to ride, watch and join the celebration, and no club memberships are required, though ATVs must be registered equipment, and no dirt bikes are allowed.

The 3rd Annual ATV Ride for Camp CaPella Kids will be co-hosted by the Airline Snackbar ATV’ers (Beddington) and Airline ATV Riders (Eddington). ATV’ers will meet at the Airline Lodge and Snackbar in Beddington, 40 miles east ofBangor on Route 9 and Route 193, from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. for registration with a $5.00 donation. The ride will begin at 10:00 a.m., and following the ride there will be a cookout providing roast pork and casseroles, hotdogs, hamburgers and salads behind the Airline Lodge and Snackbar (donations requested). Plus there will be raffle tickets and giveaways.

Dana Mosher, executive director ofCampCaPella, notes that “the ATV Ride for Camp CaPella Kids will be fun for everyone, and it will also raise money for our ‘camperships’ to help local families send their kids with disabilities to camp. We thank each of these ATV clubs and all the riders for their compassion and support.”
